literally would sell my soul to have this as my last meal. The most delicious sushi I have had, hands down, no contest.

With the scorching hot weather we've been having this week, went to HB after work yesterday. Watched the sunset and then dinner at Mahkin. One new dish we tried - Crispy Pork Fried Rice and another old fave Baked Salmon Roll. Fried rice was amazing. I was torn between this and Tom Kha soup, but glad that I got to try this dish for the first time.

Omikase!! Life is about sharing time with special people and making memories that will last a lifetime. We were fortunate a few nights ago to do an Omikase at a favorite place in HB, Mahkin Thai and Sushi! Omikase was a new concept for me. Surprised that I had not been exposed to it. It was incredible and amazing. First let me say that Mahkin is likely the best Sushi anywhere in south OC. Am I qualified to say that? Yes and no. My family lives both Thst and sushi, and Mahkin is our favorite place in Orange County. And I have overheard so many customers commenting on how amazing the food at Mahkin! You can eat inside or out, it's casual neat downtown HB. And the owners are some of the kindest people I know. EK is a wonderful host. For the most part it's a casual Thai/ sushi place we hit often. Yet this Omikase experience is one I will cherish and repeat for a special occasion. I would liken this to a chefs dinner. Multiple courses, I think perhaps in the case of this Omikase it was 12 courses. And it's very special sushi, Japanese, high end and delicious. I typically order the same stuff. Boring but yummy. I ate everything at this Omikase, and expanded my horizons quite a bit. Everything was incredibly delicious!! For example I loved the salt water eel on a bed of rice. A new dish for me. So tender! We included the Sake pairing. That too was a good decision I thought, the full experience and each course of the meal and sake were explained by the chef and sake "somalier". We absolutely loved the experience. They close the restaurant for your group of 6. It is a highly recommended event for anyone who loves food, friends, family and creating special and magical and memorable experiences. Don't miss this!! And if you think maybe, just go enjoy Thai or sushi with EK and team, they do it the best!!! I have included pics!! Mmmm. This was amazing guys!!!

The food here was delicious! Great getting to sit and eat here because we ordered take out before. The staff was amazing and very considerate of our needs. The place is relaxing with good music. It was nice having dinner here and will be back soon!

Neat place to have food if you're in the area. It's a Thai and sushi combo place- yes both. With two separate menu you can choice from. Had a chance to dry pad see euu, sushi dish, Tom yum, papaya salad and all tasted fine. If you're looking for an authentic place this is not it. If you're looking for a mild flavor easy to eat for everyone's taste bud this is the place to go! It's small so get there early or plan to wait a bit. The service was really fast and the staff can turn a table very quickly. In term of parking there is a parking structure right across or street parking alongside. A lot of options.
